Apple and cinnamon oats

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup of oats
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 tbsp of maple syrup
Coconut milk
1/2 an apple
A pinch of kosher salt

METHOD

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.

In a bowl, mix the oats, cinnamon and maple syrup. Spread these sparsely on a baking tray lined with baking paper and place them in the oven to toast for 5-10 minutes (keep an eye on them so they don’t burn!).

Meanwhile, chop 1/4 of the apple into fine chunks. The other quarter into larger decorative pieces.

Once the oats are ready, sprinkle them with the tiniest pinch of salt. Place them in a bowl, mix the little bits of apple through. Place the bigger bits on top. drizzle a tiny bit more maple syrup if you like and serve with plant based milk. I use coconut and it is delicious!
